Oscar Omuhle was born Tshepiso Mabunda in Mkhuhlu, Mpumalanga. He set out to become a pastor. In 2018 the church handed him a microphone for a different reason, and the room has not stopped laughing since.

Today he hosts weddings and corporate events, headlines theatres and casinos, and keeps more than 150,000 people coming back for his sketches. Every joke stays clean, so the gogo, the boss and the pastor can laugh in the same room.

Away from the microphone he is a husband first. Oscar is married to Thandeka, and the two often share the stage: their couples' comedy is some of the most-watched work they post.
